At CollectiveUP, we're excited to share that we’re participating as partners in four Horizon Europe 2025 Cluster 2 proposals under the theme Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society. These proposals reflect our commitment to building an inclusive, democratic, and culturally rich Europe through social digital innovation, community empowerment, and creative transformation.
We’re proud to be co-developing these initiatives alongside inspiring partners from across Europe — from grassroots movements to research institutes, cultural leaders to policy experts.

1. Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Creativity-Driven Innovation

Can AI be a tool for human creativity rather than a threat to it? This proposal explores how artificial intelligence can support creators, artists and cultural organisations in generating, preserving, and evolving cultural content in innovative and ethical ways.
✨ CollectiveUP brings its experience in co-creation, inclusive design, and digital empowerment to help ensure AI tools are developed and used in ways that amplify creativity, not replace it. We connect this consortium and Europe with the EIT Culture & Creativity ecosystem
2. Evolution of Culture in a Virtualising World

From the metaverse to mixed reality, the cultural landscape is rapidly shifting into digital realms. This proposal investigates how virtualisation is transforming cultural identities, experiences and institutions, and how we can ensure this evolution is inclusive, participatory, and socially meaningful.
✨ CollectiveUP contributes by co-designing methodologies to engage underrepresented voices in virtual spaces, making sure that the future of culture in digital environments is diverse, equitable and anchored in community values. We lead pilot activities in Belgium.
3. Good Practices for Increased Autonomy of Persons with Disabilities

Autonomy and dignity are fundamental rights. This project seeks to map, enhance, and scale good practices that promote independent living and social participation for people with physical, sensory, intellectual and mental disabilities.
✨ At CollectiveUP, we bring our strong focus on accessibility-by-design, intersectionality, and participatory storytelling to ensure the project centres the lived experiences and knowledge of people with disabilities. We lead a pilot case in Belgium.
4. Civic and Citizenship Education for Democracy and European Values

Democracy needs not only defenders but dreamers. This proposal explores how civic and citizenship education can inspire democratic engagement and critical thinking, particularly among youth and underrepresented communities.
✨ CollectiveUP will co-develop inclusive learning tools and participatory methods to help young people navigate complex societal challenges and become active citizens shaping Europe’s future. In this project, we are the voice of youth organizations and young people!
