INTouch
INTouch (Intersectionality and Collaborative Online International Learning connecting Cultures and Minds) is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Higher Education bringing together eight organisations from six European countries. Coordinated by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), the project uses Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) to connect students, lecturers and social communities across borders. Through five transnational COILs and interdisciplinary case studies, INTouch explores the drivers of supportive behaviour from an intersectional perspective while strengthening digital, intercultural and transversal competences.
Funding type: Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education (KA220-HED)
Grant number: 2026-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000467807
Project impact
INTouch is designed to connect academic learning with real-world social contexts. At least 300 students and 12 lecturers are expected to participate in the COIL activities, developing international collaboration, intercultural communication and other transversal competences. The project will also produce reusable learning and research resources, case-study materials and practical recommendations for higher-education institutions, educators, civil-society organisations and policymakers. Through its dissemination and sustainability activities, INTouch aims to support wider adoption of inclusive COIL practices and strengthen the transfer of knowledge between higher education and society.
Objectives
- Develop students' and lecturers' transversal, digital, intercultural and socio-emotional competences.
- Establish an accessible internationalisation model integrating an intersectional perspective into higher-education curricula.
- Generate evidence and practical recommendations supporting social inclusion and diversity across European contexts.
