The Project

INTouch stands for Intersectionality and Collaborative Online International Learning connecting Cultures and Minds. It is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), running from September 2026 to April 2029.

Why it matters

International learning changes how students see the world, but most never get the chance. In a survey across the partner universities, 77% of students had never taken part in an international activity.

Discrimination also rarely has a single cause. Gender, disability, background and age overlap, yet universities seldom teach students to see how.

INTouch tackles both. It brings international collaboration into regular courses, opens it up to everyone, and connects it with the communities working for inclusion.

Our approach

What makes INTouch different

Illustration: a student connected to a shared learning space

Bigger together…

…ten university classes from five countries connected in one shared framework.

Illustration: a researcher looking through binoculars

Intersectionality as the lens…

…exploring how identities interact and shape who receives support.

Illustration: a community of people standing together in a city

From classroom to community…

…students work with NGOs, schools, children and Deaf communities, not just study them.

Accessible by design…

…including a COIL held entirely in International Sign.
