What makes people support one another, and how do overlapping inequalities shape who gets left out? From September 2026 to April 2029, eight organisations from six European countries will explore this question together through INTouch.
Coordinated by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), the partnership brings together Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Sapienza Università di Roma, Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, Universität Bremen, OsloMet and CollectiveUP. In October 2026 [CONFIRM date and format], the partners met to launch the project.
At the heart of INTouch are five COILs (Collaborative Online International Learning). More than 300 students from ten university classes will team up online across borders, working with NGOs, educators, student associations, children and Deaf communities. One COIL will run entirely in International Sign.
