<p class="p_desc">Choosing a digital tool is only one step in helping an SME adopt it successfully. The second session of the DIGISET closing learning series focused on the practical work surrounding that choice: understanding the problem, assessing readiness and planning a manageable first step.</p>

<p class="p_desc">The session framework connected digital support with everyday organisational decisions. Key themes included:</p>

‍

<p class="p_desc">- Starting with a concrete need: identifying a task or workflow that could benefit from improvement.</p>

<p class="p_desc">- Prioritising opportunities: using a quadrant to compare the expected value of an intervention with the organisation’s readiness to implement it.</p>

<p class="p_desc">- Choosing tools responsibly: considering usability, costs, compatibility, data handling and human oversight.</p>

<p class="p_desc">- Learning through small pilots: defining an owner, a limited scope and a review point before expanding adoption.</p>

<p class="p_desc">The guest programme featured Jan Moellmann presenting Voices of Impact, exploring AI-assisted approaches to stakeholder feedback and impact research, and Silvia Fazio from Impacto CS, connecting digital tools with organisational capacity and practical implementation.</p>

<p class="p_desc">The closing reflection brought the focus back to the enabling organisation: what can we help an SME do differently, and what support will it need to sustain that change?</p>
