<p class="p_desc">On the 7th of July we held the event“Artificial Intelligence at the Service of the Social and Solidarity Economy”, within the framework of the European projectCOSME-DIGISET, in collaboration withBarcelona ActivaandFacto Cooperativa, and with the support ofCIDAIand theDigital Innovation Hub of Catalonia (DIH4CAT).The session featured:</p>
<p class="p_desc"> • Marco Orellana Fuenzalida (CIDAI), presenting the key axes of the Catalonia.AI strategy.</p>
<p class="p_desc"> • Albert Sabater Coll (University of Girona), addressing the need for socio-technical literacy and training in AI from an ethical, legal, and social perspective.</p>
<p class="p_desc">Over 25 representatives from 18 organizations—spanning academia, public administration, private sector, and civil society—then worked in three thematic groups:</p>
<p class="p_desc"> • AI Ethics (led by Meritxell Naranjo, Facto)</p>
<p class="p_desc"> • AI Strategy and Uses in the Social Economy (led by Daniel Arricivita, Barcelona Activa)</p>
<p class="p_desc"> • Skills and Talent Development (led by Joan Martínez, Facto)</p>
<p class="p_desc">It was a true space of collective intelligence, allowing us to identify challenges, generate ideas, and co-design a roadmap for putting AI at the service of the Social and Solidarity Economy. </p>
